You can still comment on the articles, and listen to their free podcasts, E-mail them and even submit your own articles. Heck you could even mail them a good old fashioned letter. After that is a forum really that much of a necessity?
I really miss both forums. There's so few forums dedicated to web comics. Also their insight into the industry was incredibly helpful. Oh well, I still have their awesome book to keep me going.
