This past spring, LA-based comic publisher Wild Storm put out an eye catching new series labeled “Planetary.” The first issue was released with a familiar yellow and black theme at the top of the cover with the phrase “AFTER WATCHME...

Ahh To Live Out Your Imagination

To literally see someone suffering from the Hollywood Starlet Flu is a terrible site. This often witneessed and seldom wished upon is a mix of all night drinking where a bottle is attached to one's hand, sleep caused by passing out somewhere vs layi...

The instant I discovered comic writer David Hine was writing the "Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency" series for the LA-based publisher Radical, I instantly jumped at reading the issue. David's incredible detail to history, aligned with his ...

All Aboard The Baby Train

It's inconceivable how cartoonists seem to discover a new, or hardly tapped, concept and make it their own. Karen and Bill Drastal, a Los Angeles couple that happen to be a pair of talented cartoonists by chance, decided to take the notes and though...

Improvements coming to WCI

Holy crap on a stick Batman!!! What up my WCI Fam! OMG have i a HUGE update coming and now just a head's up.

For starters, I'd say by the end of the summer we'll be debuting a special WCI title series that I hope will inspire people to get involved. I don't want to let it out the bag, but it's a project of sorts that incorporates the creative of writing a comic with illustrating it. I've already begun laying out the site for it's interactivity and features. It will involve the following genres:… Continue

Updates From The Innkeeper: New Comic Vlogs

Hey WCI Family! First off I'd like to thank everyone who has joined WCI! I remember last summer when it started, there were very few members and I wasn't sure if this network site was something people would have an interest in. Now, over 450 members later it's a place I absolutely am proud to call my online home.

Everyday I check the site and hop on to a few member's webcomic sites. I'll browse around, and of course submit a few of your sites to Reddit, Digg & StumbleUpon and help promote y… Continue

How To Bring Traffic To Your Comic Without Spending A Grip

Alright my WCI Fam! This blog is all about simple, easy ways to promote your Webcomic in minutes.

These days "Viral" is you're best way to build a dedicated audience. A lot of people confuse viral with promotions. Viral is the focus of WCI. You get a chance to talk to people and get people talking about you and what you do. The word of mouth helps build interest and people seem to remember better when others tell them about something. Think about how many cool and intersting people, and their p… Continue

Thanks for the congrats, and yep the speech was recorded. I'm actually in the process of trying to transfer the video from the camera to my laptop (I have one of those old cassette video recorders instead of the new digital ones). I had a few pauses through the speech but overall it went pretty well (especially for my first public one). The problem was I tried to memorize the whole thing and ended up not using the outline I made. The award was for the best table topic.

Tom, your doing a great job.. you should start doing reviews of work our implement a peer review system.. that would totally bump up site interst as artists are always looking for constructive critiqing (not beat downs).

good luck with that.

Hi, TTI; I'd like to become an Affiliate, if possible. http://www.desert-peach.com When we get done with DP, we'll be running my entire Stinz series.

I'm sorry I don't keep up as much as I should; extremely busy, like a Humboldt squid in a salmon run. ANYTING WCI is up to, I want to be part of -- send me the links and I'll do it.
