Siggraph!!

Hey all! I just got back from Siggraph here in LA! For those of you that don't know Siggraph is a trade show for everything animation (including new developments in CG animation, games, motion capture etc.) We had a BLAST! We hung out at the booth for my work and shmoozed it up with the passers by, we also checked out the job fair to see who's hiring and passed out some demo reels and got some portfolio reviews, we also checked out the floor and saw all the new developments in animation technology...let's see what else...oh and we also saw the "emerging technology" section where we saw an adorable robot that I swear was staring into my soul, along with a strange new technology where you literally mix a landscape like a cocktail and once you pour the drink into the martini glass your landscape is created on the screen (Interesting...but when in the world would anyone use that other than for some sort of strange party gag?)

So for now we are done with the trade shows and cons and although I love them I am glad that they are over for now and I can relax for a bit before the madness starts again!

If anyone is an animation fan I would highly recommend Siggraph next year which is in New Orleans so we probably won't be able to make it, but you never know!

dag, i wish i had hit that sucker...tho i'm glad Con season is over too...time to catch back up and get things moving forward for the new project. I'll catch up with you both either Friday or this weekend...
