Chapter 3, page 8 of The Acid Murderer is complete now. In the last frame the number plate of Steiner’s car is visible. Here is the bottom third of the page:

I didn’t have internet access when I made up the license number. I would have liked to look up various country’s systems to get a wider source of inspiration, but I didn’t want it to keep me from finishing the page. Now I’ve decided on MA 78 BT. When other cars appear, the plan is that most license numbers seen in and around Atano will start with MA.

Other details I had to think about for some time are the partially visible signs which now read “Im…” and “Eck…”. What I did not have to decide to finish the page is what it is that Steiner bought for food. In a US cop movie he would probably have hot dogs. I don’t know if this Hollywood cliché reflects reality in the USA. If the story was set in Germany, he would probably have a döner or currywurst (fried sausage with a spicy tomato sauce and curry powder). However, Atano is located in a fictional country which will not be named in the comic.
